what a busy week last week was. i had finals all last week, and for the most part I feel pretty optomistic about them. I was really nervous about this paper I had to write for my MASS MEDIA class, the 6-8 page paper was 50% of my grade, so the outcome of this paper greatly affected my grade. But you would be proud to know that I got 150/150 on it! i only missed 11 points in the class over the entire semester, so my final grade in the class was a 96%! yah! go me! i'll attach the paper, if anyone might be interested in reading it :) i'll keep everyone posted on the rest of my grades.. I think i might make 'deans list' this semester (i need a GPA of 3.5 or higher). i'm glad this semester is over, i worked really hard. now i get to enjoy summer!
well, actually, i got to enjoy summer for the weekend. summer school starts for me today :(
this weekend was amazing though. we spent some well deserved relaxation time at the beach, all day saturday and sunday. both at bellows beach. we BBQ'd all day sunday, with some great friends. so much fun. charlie of course had a blast too. i'll be sure to post some pictures too.

these past few weeks have been very busy for us! i'm trying to prepare for finals. today was the last week of actual class, finals begin next week. i have my HR mgmt final on tuesday, my law monograph & final thursday, and an ADPR presentation and geography final on friday. oh wait, and a paper for my mass media class due friday! wish me luck!
this past tuesday was the "business of networking" event sponsored by the magazine. it was hosted at Pacific Home (www.pacific-home.com). the event turned out great! we had close to 200 guests, and over 10 eco-friendly vendors. brandon bartended and made some great money too! hopefully the photos will be up so you can view them all, for now i only have a few. with each event that i help plan, i realize how incredible this opportunity is and how much this really is what i want my career to be. this trial run turned out pretty successful i think. graduation is only 2 semesters away!
we took charlie to the dog park today, and she did so well for her first time! of course she was the cutest dog there :) she was loved by all and is now passed out from her very exciting day.
life is good.

busy bee
i know, im terrible at this updating my blog thing. i promise, tonight i will update. in the mean time, tonight i will be at an event for my work, "the business of networking". it's from 6-9pm (hawaii time), and you can watch it live at www.thepacificedge.com.

a new week, a new blog
So, I've never done a blog before but since time and circumstances prevent us all from being together, I thought this might be a good idea to keep everyone updated on our lives here in hawaii. So here it goes..
It's Sunday night, almost 10 and I'm drinking some tea my mom sent me in the pink mug she also sent (see mom, their getting good use) :) we watched seven pounds tonight, what an incredible movie. sad (of course i cried) but worth it. it really makes you stop and think about life, loved ones and how precious life is. if you haven't seen it, watch it.
the weather has been beautiful these past few days. clear, sunny and beautiful. i can't believe i get to go to school out here! (thanks dad!) i have class tomorrow morning and after class, i go into work. in case some of you don't know, i'm interning at a local magazine, Pacific Edge Magazine. i love it. i'm doing exactly what i want to be doing; planning amazing parties. last wednesday was the first party i actually had almost complete control over (of course, i still had to get approvals and what not) but for the most part, i did it on my own. and, it went great! we had a few mishaps, but that's to be expected. i'm really happy with how the event turned out, considering the fact that this was my first event.
